Creativity Hack: Into the mind of gods

Pheew. Made it before the close of the day.

How's the weekend going guys?

So straight to the chase

Creativity Hack:

I went to a vigil organised for youths some years back.

A video was played about two friends who wanted to make a living for themselves by solving their little village's problem of lack of water

The two friends resolved to carry two buckets of water across their shoulders using a pole, going back and forth a spring that was some distance away. People paid them handsomely for the water because they needed it but couldn't go back and forth like the two strong, young men. Those who could not afford their services went to the spring by themselves.

'Ben' was saving his money and was going to use his money a cottage and a cow for milk production
Bob too had the same dreams. But after a while, he noticed his health was diminishing due to the heavy load and long, continuous trek. He proposed to Ben that they should find an easier way of solving the issue as their finite bodies may not be able to take the stress any longer. He had thought of a plan of constructing a pipeline network from the spring to their village. The main cost was that they would use  some of the money they have saved to buy the materials and take some weeks off or months to build the pipeline system.

Such idea seemed so lofty and not so common in their days. Ben called Bob lazy. Saying he was allowing laziness to stop him from achieving his dreams of buying a cottage and a cow.

Bob, sad but unshaken, proceeded to do the project all buy himself. While Ben went on carrying water and making money. He increased the price of his services as he was the only one carrying water now. He made a lot of money and was pleased with himself. He stopped to mock his friend who was engaging in a 'fool's errand'

After two months, Bob finished the project and the whole village rejoiced that water was now accessible with a fee much more lower (very affordable for everybody) than what they usually would pay Ben the water-carrier.

Meanwhile, Ben has lost his job and much sooner, he discovered he had a problem with his spine and back muscles. He spent all the money he had saved up to treat this ailment for a very long time and ended up becoming very poor

Meanwhile, Bob got so rich he bought a big house and bought three milk cows which made him become more richer.

The main lesson was clear. 'Use your Brain to create a better life for yourself, not Brawn'

The pastor, pastor Tosin who was to speak to us about creativity and unleashing potentials immediately after the video started off his speech by asking a supposedly easy question;

"Man was created on what day?"

You could hear a lot of muttering in the church building

Some were trying to imagine what was the reason for the question

Others were trying to prove they have knowledge of Bible Knowledge

Others who were ignorant were already cheating by opening their bibles to check for the answer
Not that I exactly remembered the answer, but I figured,

"God rested on the seventh day, and man was the last thing God created, so that means he was created on the sixth day. Yes, I'm sure it is the sixth day. But what concerns when God made man with creativity now?"

I joined other hundreds of youths to shout "sixth day! Sixth day!"

"Good"

Then he asked another question,

"on what day were land animals created?"

Louder muttering. The man got us sha. We knew the people that studied their Bibles not just read.
Everyones was trying to get the answer. I didn't open my Bible to 'cheat' as I thought it should be a matter of figuring it out

"If man, God's apex creation, his image and his likeness was created on the sixth day, land animals were mostly definitely created on the day before. God in attempt to create his most spectacular creation would have chosen to create every other thing before created man."

"Fifth day! Fifth day! I cried with several hundreds of youth that must have 'figured' it out.

"Wrong." He said

"Land animals and Man were created on the same day."

Shocked, most of us started checking our Bibles, including me.

"Man is not so different from land animals" He continued,

The only difference between we and animals is our intelligent mind and the use of our brains

When you live your life, making ends meet by doing it with physical strength and muscularity alone...

"...You are no different from a beast of burden"
Even if you are into farming which is chiefly physical, plan, strategize, ask questions, get knowledge, if you are void, ask the father who gives wisdom without discrimination.. There will always be better way of doing things, A creative farmer's handiwork will yield results far much more than someone who doesn't apply his brain... "

You have unction to function. You have genius running in your veins. Just identify problems you are passionate about and mull over them. Given time, ideas will break forth.

But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding..Job 32:8
You are creative. Your mind is filled with witty inventions

I borrow words from my dear friend Modupeore Debola's Poem 'Through the eyes of a god' that will forever be a blessing to me;

"I am a blue blood, from an endless line of the highest form of blue bloods the earth has ever seen. If it bears our seal, you can count on it.
I am royalty; who doesn't cower in face of challenges, I go in search of them - flashlight blazing - because I have the invested command cum authority of the power that effect changes.
To me, there is no competition between us. I compete only with the good I was yesterday that will not allow me be better today; As for you and I, we can each act in the best of our abilities and compliment each other.
We are creators. We create and recreate: Things. People. Ideas. Ideals. Systems. Institutions. Situations...
Excellence is a calling, a way of life... There is no compromise, royalty is royalty. A king acts like it, a God rules..."
We are royalty, kings;

Much more, we have crossed the thin line that separates gods from kings - the powers of creation.

Enough said.

Get creative.
