I watched a Mount Zion Movie series recently - HOUSE ON FIRE. (You should see it. Really awesome) And I had a nostalgic feeling about some of the old movie series they used to produce. Particularly one, 'Agbara nla' (Ultimate Power) released in 1992 but I got to watch much later.

For many people, the movie was scary. Damn scary. Apart from the good storyline and top notch acting that could rival any Nollywood movie at that time, I could dare say the terrifying scenes were the movies' selling point. You just need to play 'Agbara nla' for your stubborn kids or backsliding spouse and they will at least for next 24 hours, adjust themselves. (24 hours guaranteed)

The Outfit, Mount Zion Film Productions was one of the First Christian Drama groups to go on Television (if not the first) and depict that warfare aspect of the Christian faith especially in the African climate that is host to many, many territorial deities, ancestral spirits and obviously, witchcraft.

They (Mount Zion) set a trend. That would go ahead to affect many 'Christian movies' depicting the presence of diabolical powers and the reaction of the Christian towards it.

But not only the movies, it set the narrative for many Christians especially in our churches and in our daily lives.

 So every now and then;

We pray and for every demon to fall and die

We 'take back our glory' for every iya or baba sitting on it. (Glory must be so soft and comfy for someone to sit on it for 20 years or so.)

We call forth our destiny from wherever enemies has hidden it. Iroko tree, sea, river, grave etc.

We tell our children not to collect anything from classmates in school as they'd be initiated into covens.

A monitoring spirit with an evil eye is following us.
Someone is watching us in a mirror or bowl of water like some reality TV show.

Every sickness is an attack

Every failure is the work of enemies.

So if we are not asking God for Money, Car and House, the other prayer point is for slaughtering demons, witches and human enemies for our shiny, wrapped glory. (You are laughing at 'shiny, wrapped glory'. Wait, you've never watched any Christian Drama that has angels bringing someone glory? Shining cellophane paper covers the glory. 😂🤣

And we should pray. Our warfare is not carnal. The Bible says

Ephesians 6:12-13

[12]For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

[13]Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

God help you if you don't pray. Especially if you live in this Africa. You gatz pray mehn. Forget what I said, Africa or no Africa That's the other extreme we should also avoid too. That we don't need to pray because of finished works in Christ. I'm not going to talk that now or I'm going to make this post unbearably long.

How did I get here? Antivirus

Yes, a good number of African Christians we believe that the devil can only attack us through fetish means.

Naah, the devil is more strategic than that.

Another scripture says

2 Corinthians 2:11

So that Satan may not get the better of us: for we are not ignorant (without knowledge) of his devices, wiles, designs, schemes, tactics, strategies.

Much more Ayamantaga, mammy water, and whatever fetish warfare that you think the devil is engaged in against you. He is constantly upgrading and spreading through other mediums and means to battle for our minds, our lives and ultimately our souls

Today, the assault mode has so changed that a 'glorious child's name doesn't need to be taken to one babalawo or coven to hijack his 'destiny'. Just give him a smartphone and take away his Bible and love for prayer and watch that soul self-destruct. He would use his hands, press his phone and kill himself by himself with the heavy weights of social media, Netflix, porn laziness, . So my guy is finding out his life is rotating on one spot and he will be binding and casting one witch somewhere.

Or should we talk about the camouflage strategy of the enemy who makes people believe he doesn't exist via Science and Philosophy meanwhile he is burning their world down.

Just as human armies have evolved from using swords and spears to firing ballistic missiles and inventing nuclear warheads, so also the enemy is evolving, spreading, infecting every scope of human life and endeavour like a virus. So brothers and sisters, dear readers, like our computers, our minds needs to be guarded by the antivirus of the Spirit and the word. So that periodic scans can be done and any foreign body is identified and eliminated. But like the antivirus for our computers, it is not enough to install it, it needs constant upgrading as viruses also evolve. Keep being filled again and again with the Holy Ghost, Get deeper in your fellowship and intimacy, receive shafts of revelational light, Get books, Study more, never stop learning, never stop pressing. We would not risk a systems crash.

It's a war people, evolve
